Axix Visitor

Features

Leverage time

After the host ends the meeting, visitors get configurable grace minutes to check out at the gate before an alert fires.

How it works

Typical grace is 15–90 minutes (default around 15). If checkout still has not happened after that window, the system generates a Visitor Alert and emails the host.

Leverage time explained

Leverage time explained

Leverage time is the extra checkout grace period after a host ends the meeting. Visitors get a configured number of minutes to reach the gate and complete exit. If they miss that window, Visitor Alert and host email escalate the late checkout. Hosts usually start the timer with the End Meeting link from check-in email or report confirmation. Typical ranges span roughly fifteen to ninety minutes with a common default near fifteen. Clear leverage rules keep sites firm but fair about lingering guests.

Simple website explanation

Simple website explanation

After the meeting ends, the visitor still needs a short window to leave and check out. Leverage minutes are that buffer, for example fifteen minutes on many sites. If checkout still has not happened when the buffer ends, alerts begin. Hosts and security share the same definition of late, which reduces conflict. Guests experience a predictable exit expectation instead of surprise confrontation. Explained simply, leverage is courtesy time with a hard stop.

Configurable range

Configurable range

Sites can choose leverage within a typical band of fifteen to ninety minutes. Defaults around fifteen minutes suit offices that want tight lobby control. Longer windows may fit large plants where walking to the gate takes time. Values are set per visitor at enrollment so policies can vary by guest type. Changing leverage later is part of reception’s edit workflow when plans shift. Configurable range is how one product fits many site cultures.

What starts the timer

What starts the timer

The leverage countdown starts when the meeting is marked ended. Hosts often use the End Meeting deep link inside the check-in email. Confirm actions from reports can also support meeting confirmation paths. Until meeting end happens, leverage does not measure late checkout the same way. Training hosts to click End Meeting is therefore an ops essential. Timer start clarity keeps alert math honest.

If late

If late

Late checkout raises the Visitor Alert page entry for security follow-up. The host receives a leverage-exceeded email so indoor ownership stays engaged. Pressure continues until the gate records a completed checkout. Dashboards reflect the relief when the open visit finally closes. Consistent late handling protects audit quality and site safety culture. If late, the system helps people act—not just complain after the fact.

What leverage time controls

Grace after meeting end before overdue logic and alerts activate.

Configurable windows

Sites commonly set 15–90 minutes depending on meeting culture and gate distance.

Tied to checkout deadlines

Dashboard deadlines and Visitor Alert use leverage to decide when a guest is late.

Per-visitor context

Enrollment can carry leverage so different visit types get different grace.

Choosing leverage for your site

Match grace to how people actually leave the building.

Corporate meeting floors

Slightly longer windows reduce false overdue when elevators and wrap-ups run long.

Factory contractor gates

Shorter leverage keeps PPE and escort rules tight after work permits end.

Warehouse docks

Align grace with loading bay dwell times so truck escorts are not marked late early.

Leverage and host behavior

Grace only works if hosts close meetings consciously.

End Meeting starts the clock

Hosts who never end meetings leave leverage unable to protect checkout accuracy.

Train on real examples

Show hosts one overdue case caused by skipped End Meeting — habits improve quickly.
