Multi-tenant platform

Multi-tenant platform

Axix Visitor is built as a multi-tenant platform with SaaS-ready isolation between companies. Role separation keeps web admins, mobile field users, and host email actions in their lanes. Access controls cover ACTIVE and BLOCKED status, QR expiry, face index, snapshots, and door visibility. The technology stack spans Django REST, React, Flutter, Windows kiosk, InsightFace with FAISS, PostgreSQL, and Docker. Production gate deployments sit on that same foundation. Platform strength is why enrollment and gate features can scale across customers safely.

Tenant isolation

Tenant isolation

Each company’s visitors, hosts, and gate events stay inside a tenant scope. Data does not mix across customers even when they share infrastructure. Isolation is a security requirement for SaaS buyers evaluating visitor systems. Admins only see the company workspace they are authorized for. Reports and emails inherit the same boundaries as live enrollment. Tenant isolation is the non-negotiable platform promise behind every feature page.

Access controls

Access controls

ACTIVE and BLOCKED status give immediate gate allow or deny decisions. QR expiry limits how long a digital pass remains valid after enrollment. Face index training supports recognition while check-in snapshots preserve arrival evidence. Door device visibility helps ops know which kiosks are healthy. Controls work together so one weak setting does not undo the others. Access control is productized policy, not a custom script per site.

Role separation

Role separation

Web admin users configure masters, doors, and reports with broader privileges. Mobile App Login accounts are separate credentials for field enrollment work. Host employees act through email deep links without needing full admin logins. Separation reduces blast radius when a field phone is lost or shared. Auditors can understand who could change what in the system. Role clarity is both security design and training clarity.

Technology stack

Technology stack

Django REST powers the API that web, mobile, and kiosk clients share. React delivers the Web Admin experience for enrollment and operations. Flutter covers the mobile visitor app for field staff. Windows kiosk EXE handles Face and QR at the physical gate with InsightFace and FAISS. PostgreSQL stores tenant data while Docker packages deployable services. The stack is chosen for real gate workloads, not slideware architecture.

Platform traits for SaaS buyers

Architecture points that matter when multiple companies share the product.

Tenant isolation

Each company stays scoped so visitor photos and hosts never mix across customers.

Docker-ready deploy

Compose-based delivery supports cloud SaaS and controlled customer environments.

Shared API channels

Web, mobile, and gate talk to one Django API — integrations stay consistent.

Ops services behind the UI

What keeps enrollments, face match, and jobs reliable.

PostgreSQL as source of truth

Visitor records, hosts, and audit history live in structured company-scoped tables.

Redis-backed jobs

Background work supports face index updates and report generation under load.

Company profile branding

Report headers and tenant identity follow the company profile, not a global default.

Platform evaluation questions

Ask these during technical due diligence.

How is company data scoped?

Confirm every visitor, door, and report query filters by tenant before go-live.

Where do face embeddings live?

Understand FAISS training on save and how it relates to gate recognition latency.
